Founded in 1974, Cantiere Capelli in Spinadesco (CR) is now one of the leading players in the international boating market, specializing in the production of fiberglass boats and RIBs ranging from 3 to 15 meters.

Its success has been built over time through craftsmanship, attention to detail, and a constant drive toward technological innovation.

In recent years, the company has embarked on a new journey to digitalize its design and production processes, introducing Autodesk Fusion and Autodesk PowerMill.

From tradition to innovation with Autodesk

The installation of a new 5-axis CNC milling machine marked a turning point for the company, opening the way to a significant evolution in the internal management of design and production.

As Matteo Riccardi, Technical Department Manager at Cantieri Capelli, explains:

“The idea of introducing new Autodesk software, particularly for CAM development, came from the decision to strengthen our design and production department. Today, all design activities for new models are managed directly by the technical office.”

Thanks to PowerMill, the company manages the development of models for the 5-axis milling machine, while Fusion is used to create cutting geometries and support prototyping activities, including the production of accessories with in-house 3D printers.
